CAREER GUIDANCE AND PLACEMENT CELL
Career Guidance and Placement Cell has been functioning in our College since 2004.
The Principal objective of the cell is to enhance the Personality Development, Inter-Personal Skills and Communication Skills, Soft Skills and Employability Quotient of the students of the College to facilitate the achievement of their career goals.
The aim is to ensure that students have the information and skills necessary for an effective job search and equipping them with the skills. All advice is based on up-to-date placement statistics and an envisioned view of future educational and industrial trends. Every effort is undertaken to create opportunities for our students to get placement. Personality developments and grooming sessions are organized for the students so that they have an edge over others when they face interviews.
Achievements
Placement in Campus Interviews
We are extremely happy and proud that our students got placement in Campus Interviews. Out of 600 participated from 21 affiliated colleges, in the job fair conducted by Alagappa University during 2007, six students got placement. We are very proud to quote that out of six, three are our students who got placement in Hewlett Packard (HP) Company.

Activities
Annual Report for the Year 2016-2017- About 16 students participated in the Campus Placement Drive at Alagappa University on 28th February 2017 for the post of “Soft Skill Trainers” by Winners Education (P) Ltd. M.Shanmugapriya and S.Nivetha from III B.A English were selected
- On 17.09.2016 IQAC and Career Guidance cell organized a seminar on “Career Awareness”. Dr.S.SelvaRani , Principal presided over the function. Mr.Kathiresan, G.M(Rtd), ICICI Bank, Karaikudi delivered a lecture on “Career as Company Secretary”.172 students and 10 Faculties attended the program.
- On 11.02.2016 Dr.P.Suresh Kumar,Director, Study Circle, AU conducted orientation program on “Career Opportunities”. About 200 students and faculty members participated in our College.
- Karaikudi Institute of Technology and KIT &KIM Technical Campus organized a National Seminar on the Topic ‘After Graduation..?’ on 13.02.2015. Two faculty members & 267 of our students participated.
- Placement Cell of Alagappa University organized a Campus Interview on 19 .02.2014 and sixty students participated in the program and and ten students were selected for the post of Relationship Manager in Integrated Enterprises India Pvt., Ltd, Bangalore.
- In association with Bombay Stock Exchange Mumbai, Carrier Guidance and Placement Cell organizes “Multi Skill Development program” for seven days from 02.01.2014 to 09.01.2014. Mr.AP.Vasudevan, CFP,Optima Solutions, Chennai and Mr.N.Jayakumar, CFP, Optima Solutions, Chennai trained the students in various skills. 250 Students from various programs participated. Communication skills, Effective executive Skills, Employability skills, Skill development in Investment, Mutual fund, Finanace and Banking were inculcated among students by experts
